After a great day in port in Key West Florida our team then gathered back together aboard the Celebrity Infinity to participate in some education trainings that we hosted on the upper deck. We then enjoyed hanging out on this upper deck right as we got ready to sail away. We had an incredible view to take in a famous Key West sunset!
A group of us headed to the theater this evening to take in the entertainment. We loved all of the acts that the Celebrity infinity had! Every night was something new and exciting! there was a great variety of very talented performers.
After the show we made our way to the main dining room for dinner. We loved the meals we had here every night of our cruise. The menu always had a wide selection!
Once we finished our meal a group of us made our way the Constellations Lounge to enjoy Silent Disco! We heard our cruise direct announce before the show that silent disco was going to be going to be happening that evening and we all became very excited and intrigued! None of us had ever attended a silent disco. It was so much fun! You walk into a room of people dancing but it is completely quite! Everyone is wearing headphones listening to the music! Taking your headphones off and just taking in the sight of a room full of people dance to no music was hilarious! You have 3 different stations you could turn your headphones to. Everyone could pick the type of music they liked. We had a blast flipping through the stations together and sharing so many laughs.

During our agency event aboard the Celebrity Infinity our very first port of call was Key West Florida! For many of our team including myself this was our first time ever in Key West! To say that we enjoyed the town would be an understatement! We absolutely LOVED IT! Many of us all began talking that night once back on the ship about how we want to plan a full Florida Keys vacation to be able to experience even more of what this wonderful and vibrant town has to offer!
The vibe in the air is so laid back. The streets of Key west are full of history, story and breathtaking sights! From the colorful pastel buildings to the shadows of the palm trees – everything is so picture perfect!
For a group of us our day began with an Incredible breakfast at Blue Heaven! This eclectic joint is a local favorite and the atmosphere was perfect to get us in that Key West state of mind. After breakfast we set out to start exploring. We first made our way to a Key West icon – the southernmost point! We invented our own pro tip for getting a picture with the southernmost point! There is always a massive line to take a picture with the southernmost point. The line can get well up to over a half an hour wait! We discovered if you sit on the wall in front of the southernmost point and wait until people are in-between going up for a picture, you can snap a perfect selfie with the point in the background!
After grabbing out selfies we made our way to Duval Street and took in many of the shops and sights there was to see! We then made our way to schooner wharf where we met up with a large group of our team to enjoy drinks and live entertainment on the marina. I loved the atmosphere here and getting to see the beautiful crystal blue water and gorgeous boats in dock.
For lunch a group of us went to Conch Republic Seafood Company. I order the Gulf Red Shrimp and and it was absolutely incredible! I had never before had Gulf Red Shrimp. I taste more like lobster meat than it does shrimp. SO GOOD!
A group of us then set out to continue exploring the town. We enjoyed checkin out more iconic locations such as Sloppy Joe’s Bar and Margaritaville. We also enjoyed doing one of the hop-on-hop-off trolly tours. This was a great way to get around the town and get to see all the locations that we wanted to check out. During your ride on the trolly tour your host also gives you information and facts about the town of Key West. It was a great way to learn about the history of all the sights we were gettin to tour!

Prior to my very first cruise on the Celebrity Infinity I had no idea just how exhilaration the feeling of sailing away on a cruise ship truly is! I knew it was going to be exciting but in reality it was so much more! I has no idea that this moment was going to take my breath away the way it did!
On our embarkation day for our Must Love Travel cruise myself and my co-workers spent the day boarding the ship, unpacking our staterooms and catching up with each other! As the sun was just beginning to set the time was drawing near for our ship to sail away and our cruise officially began! Our whole Must Love Travel team made our way to the upper deck to watch as we pulled out of port and literally sailed off into the sunset!
I will always remember the atmosphere that filled the air at this moment, it was such a joyful feeling! Everyone around was all smiles as everyones vacation was just beginning! There was this overwhelming feeling of excitement that filled the air. As our ship began to slowly move and make its way out of the port there was a great sense of adventure! I loved seeing the coastline filled with bystanders all cheering, waving and even ringing bells as they watched our ship sail away. Then the horns of the the ship filled the air as if to say bon voyage!
As I mentioned I knew this moment would be exciting but I had no idea just how thrilling it would be in the moment! The views of the beach and stretching coastline beside us and the open sea and setting sun in the distance were absolutely beautiful!
With our cruise officially underway our group made our way to one of the many onboard lounges to enjoy some cocktails and great conversation with all of our work friends. With our team working all over the country these times getting to all be together in person are always so special. During this time we got to say thank you to Our Chief Heart Officer, Bill Wingate who helped with the planning process with this wonderful cruise! Our team got together to give Bill a gift to show our appreciation.
Soon it was time for our dinner seating and we headed into one of the main dining rooms on the ship. This restaurant was gorgeous with two main levels to it! Once we sat down and got our menus, we had a wide array of delicious options to choose from for appetizers, entrees and desserts! Everyone really enjoyed their meals throughout the entire cruise!

This past November Must Love Travel took a company trip aboard the beautiful Celebrity Infinity! We had a wonderful time filled with new learning experiences and fellowship! For me this was my very first cruise EVER! I was filled with excitement and my experienced Must Love Travel Planner friends were with me every step of the way to show me the ropes and make me a cruising pro!
For me and a few of my fellow Must Love Travel team members our journey began in Orlando Florida! A group of us had flown into Orlando to spend a few days at Walt Disney World pre-cruise. We then woke up VERY early the day of our Celebrity cruise to rent a van and have a road trip down to Fort Lauderdale where we would board the ship! The road trip festivities began with packing the car with the luggage of 6 travel professionals! We packed it to the brim but got everything to fit just right!
We then hit the road! As someone who has vacationed to Florida for all of my life this was actually my first time venturing to south Florida! It was really cool to take in the sights along the way of a new part of my favorite state! We shared a TON of laughs along the way!
Once we arrived in Fort Lauderdale we turned in the rental car and caught the shuttle to the port right across the street. After checking in I had the moment I had been waiting for, boarding the ship for the first time! It was an incredible feeling to step aboard and take in the beauty of the Celebrity Infinity!
We made our way to the buffet to enjoy lunch and got to meet up with some of our other co-workers. They made the announcement that the staterooms were ready and I went up to check out my room! It was a very nice and comfortable room and my favorite part as the lovely veranda were I enjoyed many beautiful views as we sailed.

Back in November our Must Love Travel Group set sail on the beautiful Celebrity Infinity for a wonderful cruise filled with continued education, new experiences and great fellowship with our amazing team! We loved getting to stay aboard the Celebrity Infinity! I had so much fun exploring every part of this gorgeous ship! The ship’s décor and style is timeless and elegant yet full of contemporary flare! Many parts of the ships featured unique pieces of modern art.
This elegant yet modern décor could also be found inside the staterooms. These cabins had a very clean and feel with light wood tones and pops of red. I stayed in a verandah cabin which featured a massive balcony! I loved having a verandah room and being able to start each morning by stepping right outside to see what beautiful destination we were waking up in that day!

I am excited to share with you a great video from our Social Media Director, Megan. She joined us a few years ago and has traveled many places, but had not sailed on a cruise until our annual agent event this past fall. She was like a kid in a candy shop. Questions galore! It was so exciting as we all helped her prepare and enjoy her first venture on the high seas! Questions like, do I purchase the drink package or not? How do I pay for things? What is one of the most helpful things you need on a cruise? Can I use my cell phone?
These are great questions and ones we often hear from first-time cruises and sometimes even from people who have cruised before, but maybe have not experienced the newest technology on the larger ships.
Cruising is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to travel and with a few insights from our very own first-time cruiser you might be calling us very soon to book your first cruise!
This past November I embarked on a brand-new travel adventure, MY VERY FIRST CRUISE! Our 2018 Must Love Travel Agency Event took us aboard the beautiful Celebrity Infinity. This trip was my very first cruise that I had ever been on and it was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about so many new and exciting places that I had never been to before such as the Florida Keys and the Bahamas! I got to enjoy fellowship and education time with my wonderful colleagues! I also came away from the trip with an in-depth knowledge of cruising!
Prior to this first cruise I was filled with so much excitement as well as so many questions. I didn’t know what to expect with this new mode of travel and was so curious as to how it all worked. Like with everything in life, we learn through first-hand experience! Through my experience onboard the Celebrity Infinity I came away with having all of my cruising questions answered! Today I am excited to share with you 7 of the things I learned during my first cruise! I hope that this information and tips help you know what to expect whether you are about to embark on your first cruise or your 100th cruise!
Get a Drink Package
Many cruise lines offer a drink package. We all had the option to add one of these drink plans on before our sailing. I opted not to get a drink package, I enjoy indulging in a drink or two but that’s about my limit. For me personally I didn’t feel that I would get my money’s worth out of having a beverage package. I was planning to just pay for any drinks I wanted outright throughout the cruise. When the day came to set sail, I was checking in at the terminal and received such a kind upgrade! The Celebrity crew member at check in saw on my license that I had recently celebrated my 21st birthday and gave me the drink package complimentary. What an amazing start to my first ever cruise! Here was where I had my first learning experience. I feel that I definitely made the most out of having a beverage package. What I was unaware of was the fact that even drinks such as iced tea, coffee, sodas and other fountain drinks are all additional charges. Having a drink package allowed me to get these beverages as well as enjoy some alcoholic beverages. In the end when you crunch the numbers having a drink package definitely will save you money in the long run. It is important to know that every cruise line is different in terms of what beverages are included free and what drinks are an up-charge. Different cruise lines offer different types of drink packages and many cruise lines even have different tiers of beverage plans. The best way to know which plan is best for you is to talk to your Must Love Travel Planner! Bring a Lanyard
On a cruise, you will be given your stateroom card, this card does so much more than just open your cabin door. This card is also your form of onboard payment, your ID, and it is loaded up with any credits you may have such as a beverage package. You find yourself using this little card all the time. With that in mind it is a good idea to have a lanyard with a clear pouch to house this card in. This eliminates the need to carry your wallet or bag with you throughout the ship. I saw many people on the ship who had cruise lanyards. I instantly made note that I needed to get one after seeing how useful this item was! The onboard gift shops will sell lanyards; however they are going to up-charge you quite a lot on the ship! I saw lanyards in the gift shop for around $20. That is why my best tip is to plan ahead and purchase your lanyards before you set sail. You can find generic lanyards and even some very cute and stylish lanyards on sites such as Amazon for right around $5. Trust me, this item will be super convenient!
Optimize Device Charging
Staterooms on a Cruise Ship can be much smaller compared to a standard hotel room. This is just something to be aware of when planning. With proper planning, you will be able to maximize your space to the fullest! Something I encountered was the fact that our stateroom had just one outlet with 2 plugs. Only 2 devices could be plugged in and charging at one time. Once again this was just how it was on our particular ship. Many newer ships come equipped with more outlets and plugs. However, just because you are limited on outlets doesn’t mean you can’t still charge all your devices and gadgets, bring a charger block or a power strip. Devices such as these will allow you to plug multiple device into just one outlet. Another tip I can give is to bring a European adaptor if you have one. Our Stateroom also had a European outlet with two European plugs. This is common on Cruise Ships because they sail all over the world and have passengers from all around the world! Had I brought along a European adapter I could have gained a whole other outlet to use!
Cell Phone Use Onboard
One of the things I was most curious about prior to my first cruise was how cell phones worked at sea! I ended up being able to use my phone during the entire duration of the cruise with these tips. I put my phone in airplane mode to make sure I would not get roaming charges. Be aware of the fact that your phone may still work out at sea but you might get hit with extremely high roaming charges. I recommend talking to your cell phone service carrier prior to your sailing to know your range. Even in airplane mode I was able to still call and text with people back on land because I enabled wifi calls and texts. This is a feature that most smart phones have that you can use wifi to call, text and even facetime! I purchased the ships wifi package in order to do this and found that the onboard wifi was very strong and I always got a great connection. If you are wanting to use your phone in port in a different country I would also recommend talking to your service provider before your sailing telling them where you are traveling so you can find out if you can get service. My cell phone company offers a great program where I can pay for an international plan per day. I was able to utilize this during our day in port in Nassau Bahamas.
Motion Sickness
As a first-time cruiser, motion sickness was a fear in the back of my mind. I am happy to report I was absolutely fine during our sailing and never felt any motion sickness symptoms. My best advice to you if you are concerned with motion sickness is to just be prepared. I picked up motion sickness pills prior to sailing to keep with me as a precaution. I also bought a product called “Sea Bands.” These are bands that go around your wrist and apply pressure on certain pressure points that are supposed to naturally reduce the feelings of motion sickness. The first night of our sailing we were just getting out to sea and in this area the water was a bit choppier. I was noticing the motion more so choose to put these band on as a precaution. I felt great the entire night so I definitely think this product works wonderfully!
Prepare to put Luggage out the Night Before You Disembark
The evening before you disembark you may be instructed to place your luggage outside of your stateroom to be collected by your host. They take your bags away so that the next day they can handle getting the luggage off the ship for you. Every cruise line has different procedures but this is definitely helpful. The morning you depart you don’t have to worry about maneuvering your luggage all around the ship! It is a great system; however, this is just something that you need to be aware of so you can plan ahead. Know that on your final evening of the cruise you will have to gather from your luggage any items that you need for that evening or for the next morning. I just had my backpack with me and I definitely had to do a lot of consolidating and reorganizing to get my essentials to fit in my small carry-on. I made it work but in the future I would definitely plan to bring along a packable tote bag that can be used for this exact purpose. With a packable tote, you can repack just those essentials for that night and the next day and not have to worry about not having enough bag space.

A cruise is a wonderful and relaxing getaway. Here are some tips to make your next cruise even better!
Keep what you need for your first day in your carry-on
A wonderful perk with cruising is that typically you drop off your bags upon arrival and your cruise line will take care of delivering them to your cabin for you. This is a great convenience and allows you to enjoy exploring the ship without being weighed down with all your luggage. However, it can take awhile until you get your bags back, often you may not see your bags until that evening. With this in mind it is smart to plan ahead and pack anything you may want with you for that first day in your carry-on bag. Examples of some items you may want to have might be a change of clothes, your swimsuit to enjoy the pool, chargers, any medicines you may need, sunscreen, ect.
BYOB
Depending on your Cruise Line’s regulations, some ships do allow you to bring a certain amount of alcohol onboard. Usually up to 2 bottles of wine are allowed per cabin. Bringing your own beverages to enjoy in your cabin can save you a significant amount on your bar tab. Passengers typically pick up their bottles at their arrival airport’s duty-free shop. Pack your bottles in your carry-on and you will get through security with no problems. You can check on your Cruise Line’s website or ask your travel agent to find out the exact alcohol regulations for your specific cruise ship.
Consider the Late Dining Seating
If excursions are important to you and your party you may want to consider requesting the late dining seating. This is important because the shore excursions often do not make it back in time and could conflict with the early seating. You wouldn’t want to miss out on your dinner! If the late dining option is something you want be sure to request it or tell your travel agent as soon as possible to guarantee your spot.
Bring it with you!
Everyone knows to pack any medications or toiletries that you use on a daily basis but it is also important to pack those “just in case” items. For example, allergy pills, Advil, motion sickness medications, additional sunscreen, ect. Many people like to just pack what they know they will need and say that anything else they will just buy on the ship. However, toiletries and medicines like these can cost up to 10 times more on the ship. That’s why we strongly recommend bringing these items yourself. They don’t take up that much extra room in your suitcase and if needed you will be happy you already have it and don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it.
Don’t Miss the Boat! – Literally!
Many travelers plan on arriving to port the day their cruise vacation begins. However, it’s important to plan ahead for the unexpected. If you are flying in from out of town, what if your flight is delayed? What if there is traffic? Unlike other vacations when you know your hotel will be there whenever you get there, with a cruise your ship may sail without you. For this reason, it is a good idea to consider arriving the day before and spending the night at a hotel near your port. This can make the start of your vacation much more relaxed and stress-free not having to rush and possibly missing your cruise.
