Experience the Wonder of Europe’s Christmas Markets!
Experience the most wonderful time of the year on one of AmaWaterwas luxury river cruises on the Rhine or Danube.
Every year, eager travelers journey to Europe to experience the yuletide season at its very best. With the backdrop of winter white hilltops, twinkling lights, and extravagantly decorated cities, you’ll undoubtedly get swept up in the enchantment and wonder that’s in the air. It’s that special time when festively adorned wooden stalls begin to sprout up from cobblestone streets in grand capitals and charming villages alike.
These are the famed Christmas markets, where people from around the world gather to make merry, indulge in authentic delicacies, and find gifts for loved ones.
It’s hard to resist the intoxicating aroma of roasting sausage as you wander from stall to stall, appreciating the textures of hand-woven scarves and unique ornaments made by local craftsmen. And there’s nothing that makes you feel more jolly than listening to a caroling choir while you enjoy a hot mug of glühwein and a delicious pastry. With every step, there is a magical piece of history to be seen and a once-in-a-lifetime encounter be had, making this a holiday unlike any other.
Tour AmaMagna with Godmother Samantha Brown!
With five bars, four distinctive restaurants, an expansive Zen Wellness Studio and ultra-spacious balcony suites, AmaWaterways’ innovative river ship, the AmaMagna, is redefining the river cruise experience on Europe’s legendary Danube River.
As imagined by AmaWaterways’ Co-Founder, Co-Owner and President Rudi Schreiner, the “Godfather of River Cruising,” the AmaMagna is twice the width of traditional European river ships and offers more personal space, more unique dining venues and more leisure opportunities, redefining the river cruise experience!
Most accommodations are spacious suites measuring 355 to 710 sq. ft. with full balconies. In addition to the Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, AmaMagna introduces two enticing new dining venues: Jimmy’s, a family-style restaurant named for AmaWaterways’ late Co-Owner Jimmy Murphy, and the Al Fresco Restaurant, with retractable windows and outdoor seating.
Both a sun-deck pool and whirlpool invite guests to refresh and enjoy the views. AmaMagna’s Zen Wellness Studio is an expansive space with a fitness center, two massage rooms and a refreshing juice bar.
